According to studies by the National Institute of Mental Health, nearly 20 percent of Americans experience an anxiety disorder in a given year; over 30 percent experience an anxiety disorder over the course of their lifetimes. And the rate is rising: The American Psychiatric Association, in a May studydrawing from a survey of 1,000 American adults, diagnosed a statistically significant increase in national anxiety since 2017. Anxiety is treatable through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. There are various approaches that have been proven successful. I have seen people transformed as they take charge of their anxiety.
